TLC

Just an update on what's been happening with the British Keelboat Academy.

The J/109 campaign is coming along nicely. Recently I've put together our sponsorship proposal, wandered around the London Boat Show and sent lots of emails. Not easy finding sponsorship, but we will stick at it!
Currently also putting together some video footage and presentations for the upcoming media and fundraising events. The guys are hitting the gym and giving up pizza to bring the crew weight down.

In terms of boat work, managed to wet sand the whole thing by 3pm last Saturday, and that was with time for tea breaks! Hoping this will make us quicker on the water. We've also made up a new mainsheet, and this week we will tackle the deck gear.
When it's time to crack out the polish, the boat will be good to go!

I was hoping to get out to France next week for some Figaro sailing. If it doesn't go ahead it will be a real shame; although not sure how far I'd get with my French currently stretching to  'une pomme'! At least I've got the week booked off, so can get on with writing my dissertation & therapy plans. Might even get a water aerobics session in; if I get some nice routines going falling of a RS 700, I could probably start charging people for lessons...
